To transform a human into a vampire is a delicate and precise process,  if not followed accurately - step by step - failure will be detrimental.

Step One: The choosing –

It is an ancient and strict process which the vampire must follow before he creates a protégé. The vampire must select its human carefully as not all humans would be deemed appropriate whether it be great beauty or intelligence. Once the vampire has chosen a human there is no escape his or her fate unless the vampire is destroyed.
